A few months ago i have posted about 10 Alternative Freewares That You Should Know and AIMP is one of alternative freeware in that list. Now, i want write review about AIMP 2.10. What is AIMP? AIMP is a MP3 / Audio player like Winamp. Including audio converter, recorder, and tag editor.

AIMP Interface

At first glance, i am very impressed with AIMP interface. The interface is very sleek and eye-catching even tough use default skin. AIMP interface divide into two parts, first one is navigation. If you familiar with winamp, you will also familiar with AIMP navigation. This first part also include many visualization. The second part is playlist. Tab in playlist make you easy to save and change playlist. Including search box to search music in your current playlist.

How about AIMP features?

• Interface - I have said that AIMP interface is sleek and easy to use. You can change into mini navigation when you minimize AIMP and change playlist via playlist tab.
• Equalizer - AIMP equipped with powerful equalizer. You can configure music tempo, speed, pitch, rate, reverb, echo, chorus and flanger in AIMP equalizer. Sometimes, changing music tempo, pitch or speed will make the music very funny and i like those features.
• Amazing Sound - Is there something wrong with my ears? i hear any difference in sound quality with AIMP.
• Low resources and Fast - AIMP doesn’t eat many computer resources and a simple mp3 player.
• AIMP Utilities - Tag editor, audio converter, CD grabber, and sound recorder.
• Plugins & Skins - AIMP community create variation of plugins and skins.
• Auto Shutdown - Unique feature from mp3 player. You can set automatic shutdown after a few tracks, time or at the end of playlist.

Conclusion : Cool interface, audio utilities, low resources, powerful equalizer and amazing sound. If you like a simple and easy to use mp3 player with many features, AIMP is the answer.
