IORAD: The Instructional Appliance
IORAD, the “Instructional Appliance” – is a browser-based tool that takes a screenshot with every mouse and keyboard actions. A new piece of software released, it frequently includes a video of someone walking through the features of the software, explaining how it works. Unfortunately, videos like this lack the basic interaction of a step-by-step tutorial. IORAD – the “Instructional Appliance” – is a browser-based tool that takes a screenshot with every mouse and keyboard actions.
The creation of these tutorials is also something entirely smooth, as screenshots and actions can be captured using a versatile tool that works on the browser. When you navigate to www.iorad.com, a Java applet will open in the browser. This tool records your every movement on each screen that you have captured, and you can then proceed to add the necessary captions.
You can also highlight any part of the text and even insert a clip box. You can add/delete or copy a slide and customize your presentation by choosing one of many available themes such as corporate, business or Windows. The final product can be embedded on a website or can be saved as a Word Doc, a PowerPoint or a PDF.
