Clicker.com s a  video search engine, which aims to index all of the movies, TV shows and other video content available online and arrange it by network, genre and show name.
Clicker.com launches with an index of 300,000 episodes from over 5,200 shows on 1,200 networks, in addition to 1,200 movies and 50,000 music videos. The company has a deal with Boxee, and said it will soon also index Netflix’s 14,000 available movie titles. Roughly 30,000 movies  are part of Netflix’s streaming library or Amazon.com’s video store. Streaming from Netflix requires a subscription while Amazon.com sells or rents video downloads. Most of the other material in Clicker’s database is shown for free.

The Clicker.com database allows consumers to chose programs in many ways, as well as enabling a form of social networking – a necessity in the latest web companies. One key development   Search Within: enables users to restrict a search to topics within a specific program. For example, searching “Warren Buffett” within the show Charlie Rose specifically brings up those episodes where Buffett is interviewed
