Founded by Dave Matthews,  Dropcards  helps you get music to your fans through special cards. You upload your music and graphics and Dropcards sends you personalized cards that you sell to fans. Then the fans use the card instructions to go online and download your music that they purchased. You could also give these cards to bookers at venues or agents for promotion.

Drop cards are used similar to how some would use business cards.  Because of a drop card’s purpose, the message presented on a drop card is extremely short, and presents one of two methods of immediate contact. These methods of contact are usually a phone number or URL.  This system is very easy to implement, too. Basically, you create an account and upload your digital media to the site and then create a Dropcards profile or place a redemption widget on your own website. Card holders can then log on and download contents in the way that was previously mentioned.

The company also takes care of the printing of cards itself, and upon submitting your design these will be duly manufactured and shipped to you. In addition to coming complete with the relevant download code, each card includes the URL where the card holder can redeem the card itself. The site features a comprehensive Client Resource Center where aspects such as pricing are duly dealt with, and case studies are included along with templates.
