Disney Digital Books From Disney Publishing Worldwide

The Walt Disney Company has announced that it has launched its online Disney Digital Books initiative.The Disney Digital Books’s portal is the brainchild of a team of young, tech-savvy, creative folks at Disney Publishing Worldwide (the world’s largest publisher of children’s books and magazines), which has been around since 1930. The company said that the feature now offers more than 500 children’s books, including titles from Disney franchises like Mickey Mouse, Toy Story, Cars and Hannah Montana. More books and features will be added on an ongoing basis. Not only can kids read Disney books online, but they will also be able to check words they don’t know in the databases built-in dictionary, take quizzes and create a customizable virtual room just for them.

There will be no copyright issues. Moreover, the children will be delighted to read from classic stories like Pinocchio and Cinderella to best sellers like Hannah Montana and High School Musical. Children, who love reading, can ask their parents to register with the site. In one subscription, three children will be allowed to access the content from the net.
Books are separated into three reading levels: (1) for beginner readers and a companion, (2) for independent readers, and (3) for readers ready for chapter books. The amazing one that the digital books will have interesting options like ‘Magic Pen’ to pronounce the word and ‘Look and Listen’ option to read the entire book aloud.

Disney Digital Books is available for an annual subscription of $79.95, or a monthly subscription of $8.95. Each subscription covers up to three children in the same household. Gift subscriptions are available online and at select retailers. The browser-based service is PC and Mac compatible and does not require a download.
