Vista Service Pack 1 fixes most of these issues, and is already handed over to selected few testers. Windows Vista SP1 is offered at file hosting (rapidshare, megaupload, etc) and torrent sites , but that is a illegal one. You can download the ilegally Windows Vista SP1 update via Windows Update. Here we go…
* Download SP1Beta_Hack.cmd and run it with the Administrator Privileges (choose “Run as Administrator” from the right-click menu). You should see a successful message displayed on screen in Command Prompt.
* Now run Windows Update and Check for updates. It should show you the KB935509 hotfix. Download it and restart your computer.
* Run Windows Update for the second time and Check for updates. This time around you should find another update called KB937287. After downloading the second update, restart and run Windows Update for the third time. This time you’ll download KB938371 hotfix.
* Restart your computer and run Windows Update for the last time. Windows Update may not show SP1 in the first try, so keep trying until your get it. After you complete all the above steps, you should see this dialogue:

This is a new why to hack Windows Vista Service Pack 1 straight from Microsoft. To get it download available through the windows update. The new service pack build is 6001.17036 version number is v.652 . Here are the batch file which makes SP1 download available through the windows update.

For the guys who said this don’t work, remember, you have to hit check for new updates after you open windows upate and it says no new updates are available…

Weird. Installed Update for Windows Vista (KB937287) – Build 6001.17052 (x86) and now it shows that windows is up to date. Click check for updates about 15 times and still getting the same messages. i have vista home premium. does sp1 comes only for ultimate?
