Firefox 3.0 Final version
Mozilla has released the much awaited Firefox 3.0 Final version today.
The Mozilla site says version 3.0 includes 14,000 improvements to design, speed and efficiency.
Following feedback from those testing the browser, it decided RC2 was a necessary step to resolve some known issues and bugs. “We’ve had a huge surge in traffic, as you can imagine,” Mozilla spokesman Steve Naventi said. “It’s up and running but we’re actually experiencing 14,000 downloads a minute.” Firefox 3 will be available in 45 languages and include a bumper set of features focused on creating a more intuitive user experience, but its exact release date remains a mystery beyond the ball park of mid June. The Firefox team wants to set a new Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded on a single day. To get a jump start on their headcount, they’ve been registering users who pledge to download Firefox 3 when it’s released. If you do register, however, don’t forget to actually grab the software.Although it has not been officially launched yet but they have put the download files on their FTP.
