Freelance Project Management Software and Client

A new application for Client & Project Management was released in November as Freelance Suite. It’s lean, fast, and looks impressive. Choosing your first project management system can be a daunting task. FreelanceSuite is, it’s a fairly new project management system that lets you keep track of projects, tasks, deadlines, invoices (clients can even pay online through the FreelaceSuite interface!), and much more. You can even mass mail all of your clients in a (text) newsletter type format.

It has an  attractive interface (which is always an added bonus). The product is encoded and licensed, with flexible licensing options. It may be purchased as an owned product (perpetual license), leased, or as a hosted solution.Features 
Client management
Freelance Suite allows users to manage all aspects of their client base. Users can add, edit, and manipulate client profile information as well as track all related projects, invoices, and workflow approval queues.

Project management
Users can manage all aspects of the project, including progress, cost, parameters, and completion timeline.

Workflow approval system
When a staff member or project manager has completed a task or revision for a client, the “submission” is sent to the client for review. The client is able to view the associated uploads and determine if the submission meets their standards. The client will approve or reject the submission before the comments are returned to the staff member.

File upload tool and project submissions
A feature of this software is the ability to upload files to the system. Users can associate these uploads with a project submission. Project submissions are also known as drafts, concepts, or revisions. The files can be viewed by clients, when appropriate, and by staff members. They can be stored securely. This tool integrates with Freelance Suite’s Workflow Approval System.

Task (to-do) feature
Project managers or staff members can create tasks to complete based on a specific project, on a client, or from scratch. The tasks may be monitored for progress and can be assigned to any staff member. Staff users can create an invoice in a few clicks based on a task.

Time-billing tool
This feature enables teams to create records based on a client, a project, or a specific task. It includes an invoice-making tool and reports.

Invoicing feature
Staff users can create invoices based on projects, on time-billing data, or from scratch. The invoices are available to clients to pay online.

Payment gateway integration
It currently supports PayPal, 2Checkout, and GoogleCheckout. Users have the option of which gateways to enable for their clients.

Support ticket system
The system features full priority management, ticket assignments, and results tracking.

Staff management
Users can add staff members or project managers and set the permissions of each staff member.

Communication and messaging
The software includes System Announcements, and My Messages modules. The system announcement tool allows staff members to post announcements for all clients to review. The My Messages feature is an internal messaging system. Clients can send messages to staff members, and clients and staff users have the ability to store messages, reply, delete, and write new messages.

Reports
The reporting options span from time billing and sales statistics to support system usage.

Design customization and integration
It has a customizable CSS and template base.

The software can be installed in a few steps.
