You can buy, sell, give away for free, or donate to a worthy cause at this child-centric classifieds clearninghouse. The site is brand new, but already features a growing list of participants and items. Handmedowns.com’s CEO and founder, Norah Weinstein, who is a lawyer and founded The Hollywood Reporter, ESQ., is a mom who was frustrated with searching online for much needed items for her 14-month-old daughter.

Previously, to find a second-hand item in good condition, parents had to surf through giant, impersonal classified sites like eBay or craigslist. Now handmedowns.com is a one-stop destination that aggregates baby & kids listings from top classified sites and combines them with original postings from hand-me-downs’ users. The website has a “Get Started” link that will let new site users choose their location in order to start looking up items that are situated near to them, and some of the featured regions so far include Washington, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
