Hide running windows with WatchCat
Hiding running programs from view is an interesting idea offered by WatchCat. WatchCat is a free Windows utility that lets you to conceal running programs from view. It basically minimizes selected programs and removes their entries from the Windows taskbar and Alt+Tab menu. It won’t close them; it won’t save you any RAM, but it will clear up some screen real estate while you let a program run in the background.
Problem from time to time to close a window that we do not need is solved with WatchCat. To hide or unhide any application, simply right-click on WatchCat’s System Tray icon and select an application from the menu that appears; applications that appear on the bottom of the menu are ones that are currently hidden. Now this only works with windows that are not minimized to the system tray. If they are located in the system tray maximize them first and select them afterwards in Watchcat. The mail notifications will still appear in the system tray and You are able to view new mail as usual. This works definitely best for windows that are in the taskbar.
