Kadoo.com – Sharing Made Simple
Kadoo enables users to manage, store and selectively share all of their digital content from just one place. It is unlike conventional sharing sites. The service, which offers 10 gigabytes of free storage, gives users one place to manage, share, and store digital data, contacts, photos, files, video, bookmarks, and blogs. They are currently building a Social Information Management System (SIMS). With this kind of storage, companies can use this to share files through the office, without having to rely on unsecure office networks. People can share information with people who are not members of Kadoo using a feature called “selective sharing.” The service is integrated with a service for university and high school environments called Blackboard. There’s no telling how useful this could be, since with 10 GB you won’t run out of space to share anything you want to. It has the basic picture sharing capabilities of the most popular sharing sites. Kadoo will be available to the more than 20 million global users of Blackboard beginning with the fall ‘08 semester. With its launch at DEMOfall 08, Kadoo becomes available to users everywhere.
