OopsI’mLate.com – Never Be Late Again
Oops I’m Late! was one of the most innovative applications because it actually searches your Windows Mobile Calendar for the next appointment, identifies your location, and “auto-magically” figures out how far you are from the appointment. If you’re driving to a meeting and realize you’re going to be late, what do you do? Pick up the phone and call ahead, right? But this means, possibly, trying to find the number for the person you’re meeting with, which can be dangerous if you’re in motion. And possibly illegal.
Mobile app Oops I’m Late does the calling for you. It runs on GPS-equipped Windows smartphones. If you start the app and give it access to your calendar so it knows where and when your next appointment is, it will automatically fire off text messages to the contacts in a meeting when it detects that you can’t possibly make it in time. In its new version features added:
- System-wide contact filtering to prevent unwanted attendees from being notified.
- Microsoft Live Search integration – now a user can send a map from their appointment (i.e. Microsoft Outlook) to a map, or they can re-use previous destinations as a geocoding source which saves time (Standard and Professional versions only).
- Partnered w/Smaato to create a free, Ad Supported version.
It’s been a long road but this is by far the best version. Stable, fast, feature rich and it works well.
