
ParentalControl Bar is an add-on for Internet Explorer that helps parents prevent their children from accessing adult oriented websites. Parental Control Bar is supported by ICRA’s labeling standards. The Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA) and the Website Rating and Advisory Council (WRAAC) announced that WRAAC will use ICRA’s labeling standards to support its ParentalControl Bar software. ICRA is a non-profit organization that exists to protect children from potentially objectionable material while preserving free speech on the Internet.
ParentalControl Bar comes with a set of pre-defined filters based on sexual material, powerful language, violence and other criteria, allowing the parent to select the appropriate filtering options for their kid. Moreover, you can also add your own sites to a blocking list, or permit specific sites by simply clicking a button in the newly added IE toolbar. The current version only works with Internet Explorer.
