TigerLogic Solutions has launched a personal search engine, named ChunkIt! It functions your browser to see exactly where to get precisely what you look for, before you click away. It opens up a new pane that takes up half your screen and gives you a preview of the page behind each link, with a text summary (AKA “chunk”) and your keyword and similar concepts highlighted. ChunkIt saves users from clicking back and forth between sites, wasting time on useless links, and cluttering their screen with too many tabs and open windows. After a quick install, you’ll see the new ChunkIt! search box appear in your browser. The user then enters keywords into the search field, as if it were a regular search engine.
