PressJack turns RSS feeds into Flipboard-style magazines in the browser

PressJack is a software tool that combines the technologies of and RSS reader and a digital magazine. PressJack can display your RSS feed into a digital, page-turning magazine format. Pressjack is available for Windows and Mac. The service is intended for publishers, but that doesn’t mean that ordinary people like us can’t try the app to create a bundle of our favorite feeds. The outcome, in theory, should be a Flipboard-like experience. This is both forward thinking and backward thinking. Pressjack was created by Trinity Innovations, a company founded by former publishers in 2004.
The layout design is quite good, and PressJack has a decent set of features (bookmarks, sharing, clipping, etc). Unfortunately, it’s dependent on Adobe Flash. The final product of Pressjack is an interactive web magazine. Publishers will be able to upload the magazines to their chosen web server and give access to their readers to read them online. Unfortunately, this feature is still disabled in the trial version. The free version of PressJack has ads, and the pay version starts at $500 per license. You can make up to 10 magazines for that price, but it’s still rather expensive.
