Shake up your Windows 7 with Aero Shake
Windows 7 has started getting attention from the users after Microsoft announcement about windows 7 at PDC 2008 event. One feature of the Windows 7 user experience that wasn’t demoed or even talked about last week at PDC 2008 is called “Aero Shake” – the same feature that led Rafael on an epic journey to unravel the secrets of build 6801 superbar.
Aero Shake which basically provides a way to hide all but the active windows from the screen or revert that process. This is done by left-clicking a window and shaking it left and right. All other visible windows will automatically get minimized after doing so. The process can be reverted by shaking the window again which will reopen the minimized windows in the same position again.
Steps to Unlock / Enable New Aero Shake Taskbar in Windows 7
1. Download a copy of the Taskbar Unlock Tool for 32Bit or 64Bit and drop it in your Windows directory
2. Execute the following commands as an Administrator in Command Prompt
3. takeown /f %windir%\explorer.exe
4. cacls %windir%\explorer.exe /E /G MyUserName:F (replacing MyUserName with your username)
5. taskkill /im explorer.exe /f
6. cd %windir%
7. start unlockProtectedFeatures.exe
