A new tool that provides real-time protection from internet threats has been released by Trend Micro. The Web Protection Add-On monitors any HTTP request made by any program on your computer, so it’s not simply an add-on for one web browser. Rather, it will scan every URL you visit and every file you download.  A pop up warning message will appear if the program finds malware.

Some level of protection against bots and other malicious code is available here.
You can also configure it to use a Proxy server. But it’s meant to be used in conjunction with other anti-virus, anti-spyware applications. The Web Protection Add-On isn’t meant to be a complete Windows security suite.  For 60-day free download is offered.  But, there’s no clear indication of what the full version of the program will cost.
