Waste more time on Twitter with Twitscoop
The Paris-based Twitter search engine and meme tracker Twitscoop rolled out a live tag cloud for Twitter today. Twitscoop uses an algorithm to crawl tweets in real time and present keywords in an evolving tag cloud. It’s the coolest thing about Twitscoop. Twitscoop places the frequency of the words used in alphabetical order in a Tag Cloud, the more popular the word the larger it is compared to the rest in the cloud. Mouse over the tag to find out who is talking about what, click on the tag and it will take you to a graph that will display the frequency of the topic along with the users. With all of this information available, you’ll be one well informed Twitter! For example: If five people write the ‘dumb’ or ‘w00t’ within 10 minutes of each other, it will show up in the cloud, even though the tweets are not related at all. As of now, Twitscoop does not feature an API, nor does it have a widget for its live tag cloud that you could put on your blog or your desktop.
