WordTwit is a new Wordpress plugin that’s would be very useful for twitterrers. A great time saving idea for those of us who use social bookmarking and social media as part of our traffic generation regimen.

WordTwit keeps track of when you publish new posts, and automatically informs all followers by pushing out a Twitter tweet. All links are automatically converted to tiny URLs to save space. Most users see a substantial increase in blog traffic after tweeting their posts on a frequent basis.

Two additional features make the plugin amazing. Users can check a box and have the plugin dynamically convert all content links into short URLs. This could be highly useful for external link tracking, but runs the risk of sites using it not passing link juice to linked sites. The final new feature enables a banner on external sites.

With WordTwit installed whenever you publish new content from WordPress, Twitter will automatically be updated with a brief description of your new content along with a link back to it, bringing additional traffic and visitors to your website.
